Vision

 The Department vision is summarized as follows:

1. Looking forward to building a department that will draw both local and international attention in the field of medical engineering and biomedical engineering through communication of knowledge, integration in curriculum, high reputation in structure, and competition in comprehensive development.
2. Preparing graduates able to keep up with the development in the field of biomedical engineering and applying their knowledge to serve the labor market in both government and private sector.
3. The department should be among the most distinguished engineering departments at the local universities level in preparing its students to serve in state health institutions. The graduates shall  represent active element and outstanding link between engineering and medicine throughout coordination between the ministry of health and international research centers to keep up with the qualitative development in biomedical field.

 Message

1. The department aim to create engineering elite and graduate engineers holding Bachelor degree in biomedical engineering with capability to manage all subjects that are related to the discipline including instruments, equipment, devices and their applications. Beside, dealing efficiently with these devices and their operation that ensure providing the best quality of engineering and medical services.

       2. The duration of study in this field is five years and after graduation, the student will obtain bachelor degree that qualifies him or             her to work in several fields and consequently, contributes to promote the society to ambitious level of living. The biomedical               engineering is considered to be the latest science that has been evolved with the development of modern medicine. After the               physician (Doctor) was performing multi tasks like diagnosing, treatment of the patient, and even manufacturing the drugs, the             medical devices or instruments become the main physician partner to perform all previous tasks.

Goals

            Our department aims to:

1. Graduate engineering staff that holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering capable to manage the all subject related issues in this discipline effectively such as instruments, devices and equipment dedicated to biomedical engineering and medical engineering field, and their applications.
2. Efficiently and professionally dealing with above mentioned issues to provide the best quality of medical engineering services, beside integration with the medical staff in hospitals and health centers.
3. Achieving the scientific integration in the field of medicine and engineering. The department provides, through an integrated curriculum, all studying materials that ensure graduation of an engineer with medical background that qualifies him or her to deal professionally with different medical staff levels starting from physicians and ending with the patient.
4. Providing both theoretical and experimental background to the graduated student in medical and engineering disciplines.
